ASAP's Presidential Educational Initiative
Under the leadership of ASAP's President,
Aaron Krasner, M.D., 2024 is set to be a transformational year for the field of Adolescent and Young Adult Psychiatry. Our goal through this educational initiative is to create a vibrant hub for expertise capable of incisively responding to the youth mental health epidemic.
This initiative consists of two components composed of real-time and webinar-style virtual learning:

1. The ASAP Institute - a core curriculum for psychiatrists leading to Board Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Psychiatry.
​
2. Friends of ASAP - a curriculum for non-psychiatrist medical providers to enhance their skills for collaborative care practice, leading to a specialty certification.
The need for Psychiatrists Trained in Adolescent/Young Adult Psychiatry couldn't be greater,
and it is increasing daily.
Our goal is to train/certify 100-150 psychiatrists and 500 primary care providers by 2026 -
and this is only a fraction of what is needed
We need your help to accomplish this major initiative! Funds are needed now to develop a Learning Management Platform, Retain top speakers, and secure accreditation for our programs.
